Let’s Make Tech Inclusive week
Thursday 21 July 2022
In Redbridge, we had an exciting week of events, talks and digital skills training for Let’s Make Tech Inclusive week.
As we have experienced in the last two years, digital transformation is more present than ever, with it showing us how much digital technology and skills is influencing everyday life. We know there is a need to address digital inclusion so that all communities and people in Redbridge gain the benefits that being digitally included can offer. We wanted everyone to recognise the need for digital technology, build skills and get an insight into our journey to becoming a digital council.
The week had over 25 sessions, discussing issues such as women in tech, social media, bridging the skills gap to artificial intelligence, data and cyber, crypto and crime tech which were all delivered in partnership with organisations such as Tech UK, PwC, LOTI, University of the West of England Bristol, Havering Council and Greenwich Council. We had over 390 people attend the week and there was something for everybody.
For us Let’s Make Tech Inclusive week was about showing digital tech empowers, enables, and supports us all. We gave people the opportunity to network and make connections and most importantly be inspired and learn something new.
