Why does digital inclusion matter?
How much are people missing out on?

Across Redbridge, many adults still lack the basic digital skills they need to participate in today’s world. 25% of our residents do not have basic digital skills and a further 11% have not accessed the internet at all.
We want to ensure that people have the skills and access to benefit from digital technologies to make their lives easier. As more and more services are moving to online only, there is a risk that some people are being left behind and becoming excluded. We know, especially after COVID-19, that not being able to access digital platforms can prevent our residents from progressing and increase isolation.
