Second sprint for the Digital Housing Needs project

We have been busy in our second sprint launching an online contact form, gathering user insights into our housing web content, running interviews with team members and doing preparation work for further user research.

This is what we worked on in sprint two:

First Contact and Web Content

  • Built on previous research on web user journeys and content by running in-depth Google Analytic reports on our Housing web content
  • Attended a session on an introduction to Google Analytics and designing web content with data
  • Launched and promoted an online contact form for the housing solutions team. Cllr Vanisha Solanki, Cabinet Member for Housing and Homelessness, said that it is “easy to access, and alongside saving time, the new contact form will become a vital aid for resolving a plethora of housing issues.”

Rough Sleeper Pathway

  • Arranged discussions with commissioning teams and partners for rough sleeper processes, to clarify roles and responsibilities
  • Sent requirements for rough sleeper statistics to partners
  • Drafted a ‘Theory of Change’ for rough sleepers

Accessing Temporary Accommodation:

  • Completed user research on accessing temporary accommodation with team members from housing services and housing needs
  • Identified the metrics to use for accessing temporary accommodation and move on
  • Started the review of temporary accommodation in use

Next sprint 

In the next sprint, we plan to work on:

  • Recruiting Council residents for user interviews on the housing web content
  • A deep dive into commissioning teams and partner roles and responsibilities
  • Working on a Theory of Change for the rough sleeper pathway
  • Preparing for a workshop on the temporary accommodation process
